out of nowhere, the Netflix announced this Saturday (29) that the series of The Witcher was renewed for a fourth season.
However, a novelty took fans by surprise: Henry Cavill no longer be Geralt of Rvia.
From the fourth year of production, the wizard will be played by Liam Hemsworth (Hunger Games).
The reason for Cavill’s departure was not mentioned, but the actor made a post on instagram as farewell. See below:
“My journey as Geralt has been filled with monsters and adventures and unfortunately I will be leaving my locket and swords down in season four. In my place, the fantastic Liam Hemsworth will take on the mantle of the White Wolf. As with the greatest literary characters, I pass the torch in awe of time playing Geralt and am excited to see Liam’s version of this fascinating and nuanced man. Liam, my good lord, this character has a wonderful depth, take the time to dive in and see what you can find.”wrote Cavill.

the third season of The Witcher is yet to release in 2023. The series is scheduled to run for seven seasons in all.
