The Flash has been a problem for A.D on account of the various controversies that its star Ezra Miller got involved, but that doesn’t mean the company doesn’t believe in franchising: according to the Hollywood Reporter the sequel script is ready.
In the text, the journalist Borys Kit heard from several company sources about a power struggle in the absence of a leader, in view of the departure of Walter Hamada the post of president of the audiovisual division of the comics company. In this space, James Gunn (Suicide Squad, Peacemaker), Matt Reeves (Batman) and Dwayne The Rock Johnson (black adore) are advancing projects that had been barred by Hamada.
The scenario that the story paints is one of megalomaniac and uncontrolled expansion, but with sources guaranteeing that the main heroes of the house remain well treated. In the midst of it all, the text states that the script for a continuation of The Flash is finished, written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick – screenwriter of Aquaman (2018) and from horror films like rf 2: The Origin (2022) and The Conjuring 3: The Demon’s Order (2021).
It is worth noting, however, that this does not mean that a sequence has already been approved. In reality, the script is an advance, but it depends on whether the first film does well at the box office. Although the name of the feature is linked to the various controversies of Ezra Miller, the company remains confident in the release.
The Flash hits theaters in June 23, 2023.
