Radiohead Releases Double Album – Fusion of Kid A and Amnesiac plus bonus

Radiohead announces to re-releases two iconic albums accompanied by new album with unreleased material

Radiohead releases a triple anniversary album to mark the 21 anniversary of their fourth and fifth albums Kid A  and Amnesiac from 2000 and 2001. The band republishing albums as a merged anniversary edition under the overall title Kid A Mnesia . 

In addition to Kid A Mnesia , the anniversary release  includes a third, brand new album titled Kid Amnesiae . The album consists of unreleased recordings from the band’s recording sessions back in 1999 and 2000.

The releases will be released together on November 5, 2021. However, the band has already given a sneak preview of Kid Amnesiae in the form of an unreleased song entitled “If You Say the Word”.

On Instagram , the band has published photos of the anniversary edition, which will be released digitally as well as on LP, CD and cassette tapes, which has been titled Kid Amnesiette.

In addition, it will be possible to buy a Kid A Mnesia art catalog and a book with, among other things, notes and lyrics on the band’s official website.

To the Instagram post, they write: “We humbly send KID A MNESIA to you. It’s a coming of age for Kid A and Amnesiac, and it’s joined by a new album, Kid Amnesiae , a palace of memory of half-remembered, half-forgotten sessions and unreleased material. All three will be released together on November 5.”

This is not the first time that the British group has paid tribute to the Kid A album from 2000. Last year, the band chose to mark the album’s 20th anniversary by releasing the track “Treefingers” in an extended version.
