When Netflix Geeked Week dropped the official  art to Exception, shivers went down all our spines because we couldn’t quite make out what the monstrous figure was. But now we understand that the dark entity is actually a troubled individual who needs help.

Exception travels the life of an artificially created scout team that must explore the universe in search of a new home for humans. But things take a dark turn when the 3D printing system goes wrong and produces a very hostile replica of one of the crew members. When one clone grows extremely dangerous after another, the team’s morals are confronted, as it is quite a difficult conclusion to find out whether the monster is a threat that needs to be eradicated or a human that needs to be saved.

The idea of ​​the self is a concept this anime strongly challenges, and we look forward to finding out what revelations await us.
